Hello there, I’ve found out a Lomo Lubitel 166B Thread from your blog. I’ve got a focusing problem with Lomo Lubitel 166B. The Gear of both lens are not contact and work with each other and I really need help. (See Image > https://www.dropbox.com/s/kk5vwd7wxggugys/IMG_20160126_144137.jpg?dl=0 )
Thank You
Hi Achita,
I took a look at the picture and sure enough – those to gears aren’t meshing! I don’t know how to fix this because I can’t see the reason why the gears are separated from each other.
Best of luck,
mark
Hi Mark, I have a Lubitel 166B. How do you take the focus ring off to do the calibration you did? My focus ring doesn’t turn all the way to the infinity sign. It looks like there is jam around the 5.6 mark. Any advice to get me started would be appreciated. thanks!
Hey Betty!
I haven’t seen a jam like that before. The ring is attached to the camera body with set-screws, so one easy thing you could try is to loosen those screws, remove the ring and explore to see what might be causing the jam.
One thought before removing the ring: dial the focus to the full extent of travel and then use a grease pencil (or some other way of marking) to mark the positions of the rings vs. the body. That way when you put it back together you could skip the focus adjustment step.
